About · why we exist
Grade the Label, Not the Hype.
GLP-1 Grade is the desk between supplement marketing and your money: we pull the published nutrition panel, check for a real third-party certificate, and do the protein-per-dollar math — so a product earns your order on the label, not the hero image.
Twenty-one percent of US households now include a GLP-1 user; appetite drops, protein needs don't. That gap created a whole aisle of supporting products — protein powders and snacks, electrolytes, meal shakes, portion tools, fiber and micronutrient basics, home strength gear, and clothes-that-fit-again services — and most of it is sold on marketing color and front-of-package claims in a category that is only lightly regulated. The nutrition panel is the evidence, and most coverage never reads it. We do — that is the site. Every verdict here starts from the label: grams of protein per serving, dollars per 20 grams of protein computed the same way for everything, and whether the brand actually publishes third-party testing instead of just claiming it.
We are a desk-verified operation, and we say so plainly: our reviews analyze published nutrition panels, published third-party certificates, and published prices — read closely, recomputed independently, and checked against the brand's live listing at write time. We do not run our own lab assays, and we do not fabricate taste tests; where we mention taste or texture it is broad user consensus, labeled as such. When a fact cannot be verified from the brand's own published material, the review says "not published" instead of guessing.
And a line we hold on every page: we review products, never medications. Nothing here is medical advice, no page makes a drug or weight-loss claim, and any number we show — a protein range, a serving target — carries the same hedge: confirm it with your clinician, especially on appetite-suppressing medication. The one piece of context we state factually is the reason the site exists: when appetite is lower, total intake often falls but a protein target doesn't, which is exactly why protein-dense, small-volume products matter. We state that; we don't promise anything from it.
Dana Whitfield
Label-Math Editor
Runs the label-math beat: protein-per-dollar tables, grams-per-serving reads, and third-party-testing checks (Informed Sport, NSF). Spreadsheet-honest and warm — when the panel and the front-of-package claim disagree, the review quotes both and does the division for you.
