Whey Isolate vs Concentrate

Concentrate is whey filtered to roughly 70–80% protein by weight, keeping some lactose and fat; isolate is filtered further to 90%+, stripping most of both. Isolate costs more per gram and suits people sensitive to lactose or chasing the leanest macros; concentrate is the value play and tastes a little richer. The honest read is that for most people the difference is small, and the dollars-per-20g-protein number decides it — a well-priced concentrate frequently beats a marked-up isolate on everything except the lactose line. We compute that number for both so the filtering premium is visible.
